Our Hacienda, also called “Finca” in Spanish, offers miles of well-maintained and signposted hiking trails. You can walk on your own for hours, get lost in the wilderness, hike along rivers, discover hidden waterfalls or visit our Vanilla plantations, all within our 100 hectares (220 acres) of wild rain forest. A map will help you find your way around the finca and the best spots to swim our waterfalls pools.
In our working Hacienda, you are welcome to share activities during coffee’s harvest (in October and November), Vanilla pollination (February to May) You also may share maintenance tasks in our Baby Vanilla nursery, shoot pictures of visiting birds right from the large Hotel open terrasse, tour the Caraca trail with lots of endemic orchids or simply sit and watch the fauna and flora from our isolated platform at the foot of our centuries old Ceiba tree (Kapok tree)
Depending upon the season, you will see Mamon-chino (Lychee), pineapples, several bananas’ species, cacao, water apples, hybridized mangos, orange and lemon all within the Hacienda.
