At Hacienda Las Vainillas, we do not combine parties. We take you on a private guided hike.
We decide on the route together, according to what you would like to see… and the weather.
The aim is not about going fast, it's about taking your time to discover the forest.

Not all our waterfalls are reached in the same way. Some trails are relatively easy, while others are longer, steeper or more challenging.
Before setting off, we talk with you to choose the route best suited to your family. And the route may still change along the way.

Waterfalls in the Heart of the Forest
Depending on the route you choose, your guide will take you to one or more waterfalls on the property.
During your visit, they are reserved exclusively for your family: you can take your time, enjoy the surroundings and, if you wish, swim in the natural pools.
Boots provided – 1 walking stick, a little water and off you go!
For your forest walk, the Hacienda provides boots, carefully cleaned and dried after each outing, as well as a walking stick, essential on the rainforest trails.
We Provide the Equipment
What If the Return Gets Difficult?
If you experience particular difficulty during the hike, we have a small all-terrain vehicle (known locally as a mula) that can make the return journey easier whenever conditions allow.
A backup solution that is rarely needed, but reassuring to have.
